honorary doctorate from University of Hyderabad The University of Hyderabad has decided to award Viswanathan Anand with honorary of Deoctorate in 2009. At the same time the university has send the proposat to Human Resource Development Ministry.
The ministry has denied to honorary doctorate to Anand and informed to University and to Anand on Monday. Human resources development minister Kapil Sibal today
The government has in confusion whether Anand is Indian or Spanish. The ministry still did not inform to University that it need honorer doctorate to Anand or not.
University sources said all relevant documents were forwarded to the ministry, which was expected to approve them and send them to President Pratibha Patil, who holds the official title of Visitor at the University of Hyderabad.
