Heena Sidhu and Anu Raj Singh won the 31st gold for India in the 19th Commonwealth Games by winning the 10 m air pistol pairs women's event. While Samresh Jung and Chandrashekhar Kumar Choudhary won silver in Pairs 25m Standard Pistol Men. Tejaswani Sawant also won a silver in Singles 50m Rifle Prone. Tejaswini, who is India's first women's world champion, got the silver with a score of 594 and Welsh's Johanne Brekke settled for the bronze with 593 points. Indian shooters Heena Sidhu and Annu Raj Singh won the Women's Pairs 10 m Air Pistol event at the XIX Commonwealth Games here today as the hosts took their tally to 31 golds, their highest ever in the history of the Games.
Australia remained at the head of the table with 64 golds, 42 silvers and 39 bronzes, and India continued to be in the second place in the medals table with 31 golds, 25 silvers and 28 bronzes, while England was in the third spot with 28 golds, 49 silvers and 36 bronzes.
