Hi viewers/ candidates/ students here is Latest information related with president rule in karnataka (Governor recommends). As per sources Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj Monday recommended president’s rule in the state after Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa proved by voice vote that his government enjoyed majority support in the assembly following the disqualification of 16 legislators, sources said. president rule in karnataka (Governor recommends).
The governor has faxed a letter to the central government terming the disqualification of legislators from the Karnataka assembly as ‘unethical’, according to home ministry sources in New Delhi.
‘Bhardwaj has called the disqualification unethical,’ a source told IANS.

The disqualification by Speaker K.G. Bopaiah helped Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa-led BJP government pass the floor test.

The disqualification of 16 legislators, 11 from the BJP and five Independents, by the speaker reduced the effectuive strength of the 225-member assembly to 208 and brought down the half-way mark to prove majority in the house to 105.

The voice vote was held soon after the house met in the morning amid chaos as the opposition Congress and Janata Dal-United (JD-U) cried foul.

Congress and JD-S lawmakers earlier demanded the dismissal of the 29-month-old government in their meeting with the governor at Raj Bhavan in Bangalore.

The speaker took the dramatic action ignoring the governor’s advice Sunday against disqualifying the rebel lawmakers.

In Bangalore, officials in Raj Bhavan refused to come on record on the report by the governor.

But a source said: ‘The report has taken note of the way the confidence motion was passed by a voice vote on the floor of the house and the conduct of assembly by (the) speaker.’

Terming the voice vote exercise a farce, the governor is reported to have told the central government that there was a constitutional breakdown in Karnataka.
