They are packaged in various size cartons including six, 12 and 18 eggs and have Julian dates ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946 stamped on the bottom, e.g., P-1413 137. The eggs were packed between May 16 and August 13 and, thus far, illnesses due to contaminated eggs have been reported in Colorado, California and Minnesota. The FDA has launched an investigation.
